I have always thought that poetry is like painting. One must master the fundamentals of construction, such as The Golden Section, perspective and so on before one can begin to experiment. Learning about and mastering the technique of sonnet writing or pantoums or whatever can only help in the production of any writing. Great podcast. Definitely added this site to my favouites.
